“The findings of this analysis are jarring and reinforce the importance of programs like COMPASS, CTVIP, CatalystCT, Roca, and many others who are relentless in their efforts to curb community violence in our cities,” Ferguson said.
“While this data tells a compelling story about our need to invest in intervention programs, we all will benefit from further analysis that shines a light on the root causes of violence here in Connecticut so that everyone may respond accordingly.”

On Tuesday evening, local residents and leaders from organizations across southeastern Connecticut will come together at Mystic Seaport Museum for a 90-minute moderated discussion. Chesebrough, who was appointed as a member of CCM’s 119K Commission earlier this year, said the program is part of an effort to raise awareness and provide support for disconnected youth.
